QUESTIONS???

At 7:30 on 10/3/2011 at the USC Rec. Center - the second Public Hearing before our Board of Commissioners is for Washington Road Associates to add to, revise, or change USC Zoning Laws to suit their vision for developing the former Consol Site.  I Only have QUESTIONS, with no answers!

The big question is: What other 25 acre parcels of property in USC can be developed under these changes to our zoning laws? SO, how much bigger is this, than the Former Consol Site development?

What will the developer present? What will neighbors of Consol Site have to say? What will other Upper St Clair citizen's say? Are issues like: TRAFFIC, SAFETY, SECURITY, HEALTH, PRIVACY, NOISE, REDUCTION OF HOME VALUES, OVER-DEVELOPMENT, and AESTHETICS valid concerns?

The former Consol site is on the corner of our main educational corridor. It is very close to Eisenhower Elementary, our Middle, and High schools. Will increased traffic affect school bus schedules? Will these new stores and restaurants be good places for our children to hang out? How will this development effect business at South Hills Village and other restaurants and stores in the area?

Back to the big question, what other parcels of property in USC will be developed under these changes to our zoning laws? What other USC communities will become home to stores, restaurants, and residential units on one piece of property? What if this happens in Your community? How will it affect Your family and Your community? Which of the issues mentioned above will be important to You?

Hope to see You and Your neighbors at 7:30 on 10/3/2011 at the USC Recreation Center on Boyce Road. Bring your questions for our Board of Commissioners and the Developer.
